Nayi Roshni Foundation launched a project on awareness on awareness of hygiene under the title of ‘Porisonnotar Dikhe Ekhuj’. The objective was to create awareness on creating personal hygiene, health and cleanliness focussed on the target group of school children. About 11 local government run schools in the city of Guwahati were selected with the target age group between 6-16 years old. The entire project took about six months to complete from August of 2016 to March of 2017. About 800 students and 100 faculties took part in the events.

The aim of the project was to introduce children and young adults to the importance of maintaining hygiene and its benefits to their personal self and their surrounding environment. The initiative saw active participation of the students and event overall was highly appreciated by the school management committee and faculty.
