World Environment Day Celebrated with Health & Purpose!
Guwahati, June 5, 2025
World Environment Day 2025 turned into a powerful symbol of compassion and community service in Guwahati, as Nayi Roshni Foundation, in collaboration with Marwari Hospitals, hosted a Free Health Check-up Camp at Sonaram Higher Secondary School.
With the theme of the day focusing on “Our Environment, Our Health,” the initiative beautifully blended awareness about the environment with action toward community well-being.
Health Meets Humanity
The camp offered free health check-ups to all attendees, ensuring accessible healthcare for the local community. Services included:
- Blood Pressure Check-up
- Blood Sugar Testing
- Dental Check-up
The setup witnessed an enthusiastic response from residents of all age groups. A team of dedicated doctors and medical staff from Marwari Hospitals ensured that every participant was attentively examined and informed about their health status.
A Guest Who Inspired
The event was honored by the presence of Mr Mukuta Das, Deputy Chairman, GMDA, who attended as the Chief Guest. His inspiring words highlighted the importance of linking health, hygiene, and environmental care. He commended the organizers for their vision and urged the community to remain proactive about both environmental protection and personal well-being.
A Day of Dual Purpose
This year’s World Environment Day wasn’t just about planting trees or delivering speeches. It was about action — action that nurtures both our planet and our people. From raising health awareness to encouraging sustainable practices, the event created a ripple of positive energy throughout the community.
With banners promoting eco-awareness, volunteers distributing green kits, and free health services being delivered with compassion, the day truly embodied its spirit: “Healthy People, Healthy Planet.”
Gratitude and Impact
The success of the camp lies in the collective effort of every volunteer, medical professional, and organizer. Nayi Roshni Foundation and Marwari Hospitals once again demonstrated what’s possible when health and humanity go hand-in-hand.
As the sun set over the school grounds, what remained was a sense of fulfillment, purpose, and a renewed commitment to nurturing both our Earth and our communities.
Let’s carry forward the message:
Protect the environment. Prioritize health. Empower communities.
Because every day should be a celebration of life and our planet.
